The former administration building and production plant of Triumph—Adler was erected in three phases between 1920 and 1969. Its original industrial architecture was heavily altered in the 1990s, when the abandoned factory underwent a first low-budget transformation into an office building. In the early 2000s the building was sold once more. The new owner, a real estate fund, urgently needed an update in order to be able to find new tenants for the office spaces.
Our proposal centered around two main measures: renovating and exposing the industrial structure and building phases on the inside and outside of the building and adding new staircases and entrances in order to reorganize the circulation and solve the access and fire escape deficiencies of the building.
