The cityscape of Athens is marked by numerous gaps in the seemingly endless rows of blocks. These wastelands, where the inner anatomy of the blocks is revealed, are populated by motor vehicles and motorcycles. Over the decades, these informal parking lots have become entrenched. The backdrop of fire walls rising up behind the parked vehicles develops an almost geological quality. The documentation aims to capture these places, potential future development spaces of the cityscape, some of which have been undeveloped for decades, and to describe them as an urban spatial type.
